As a wife and mother to two young daughters, Valerie understands the sacred, complex journey into parenthood in a deeply personal way. Her background in nursing and passion for holistic, heart-centered care—enriched by insights and practices from around the world—allow her to offer something truly unique: a blend of clinical expertise and deeply nurturing, compassionate support. As a full-spectrum birth doula and former registered nurse in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum Care unit at a major NYC hospital, Valerie is a steady, calming presence in the birth room. She understands the unspoken fears parents carry—fear of the unknown, of not being heard, of losing control—and meets each one with compassion, clarity, and confidence. Her deep knowledge of hospital systems allows her to work seamlessly with medical teams, while never losing sight of birthing parents’ needs, preferences, and voices. Whether planning an unmedicated birth or facing unexpected changes, Valerie creates a safe, grounded environment that fosters empowerment, respect, and continuous support. Valerie’s care doesn’t end when the baby arrives—in fact, that’s when another layer of her support begins. As a postpartum doula, she brings the same warmth and attentiveness into the early days and weeks of recovery, when emotions run high, sleep is scarce, and every decision can feel overwhelming. She offers steady, practical help with chest/breastfeeding, pumping, and bottle feeding, and gently supports new parents through the emotional highs and lows of this tender time. Her care extends to the baby as well—offering their first bath, soothing bodywork, and gentle touch that fosters calm and connection. What makes Valerie’s postpartum care truly unique is her personalized recovery plans. Her Specialized Postpartum Recovery Care is deeply nurturing and rooted in holistic practices. Valerie offers organic herbal baths to calm and restore, uses red light therapy to promote healing, and crafts nourishing teas to support recovery from the inside out. Womb warming techniques provide comfort and care, while custom essential oil blends enhance emotional grounding. She also incorporates the beautiful Mexican Rebozo—a traditional handwoven scarf—into her bodywork, using gentle sifting techniques to bring balance and relaxation to both body and mind. Every element of her care is intentional and infused with love, guiding families toward a peaceful, supported postpartum experience. In addition to her hands-on birth and postpartum work, Valerie is also a Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) practitioner. This science-backed, gentle mind-body method helps release emotional stress stored in the nervous system—the kind that can manifest as physical issues, anxiety, fear, chronic tension, depression, or emotional overwhelm. Valerie has used NET to support everything from infertility and breech positioning to traumatic birth experiences and postpartum depression. She also works with babies—helping release birth trauma —and with entire families, including pets, to restore calm, regulation, and connection. Valerie is committed to filling the cup of every family she works with—ensuring they feel cared for, confident, and deeply supported through every step of the parenting journey.

What families are saying

Choosing Valerie was one of the best decisions I made for my birth experience. From the moment we met, she made me feel so supported and empowered, offering guidance and comfort every step of the way. During labor, she was a constant source of calm, strength, and encouragement, helping me navigate through the toughest moments. I truly believe her presence made all the difference, and I couldn’t imagine going through it without her by my side. -Esther S.
We would not have made it through those first few weeks without our postpartum doula—Valerie, she was a lifesaver for our family. Her support was beyond what we expected; not only did she handle our Emma with such care, but she also comforted us when we felt like we were at our breaking point. She made us feel confident as new parents, offering gentle guidance that helped us bond with our baby during a time of overwhelming exhaustion. Thanks to Valerie, we were able to get the rest and peace of mind we desperately needed, and our whole family is stronger and more connected because of her incredible care. -Mark and Alina
Christine was a calming voice in the birthing room, and an advocate for me when things got hard. Postpartum she has continued to be a support person as questions have arisen.
