Certified Full Spectrum Doula, Somatic Sound Meditation Guide
Taylor's care offerings are infused with the anti-oppressive, inclusive, trauma-informed, and accessible care foundation set by Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings where she received her full spectrum doula training and certification. As a full spectrum doula they recognize and embrace that no client, no pregnancy, no birthing experience, and no postpartum journey is the same. Taking a deeply client-centered approach, postpartum sessions with Taylor are uniquely curated using curiosity to explore your desires and needs to create a container for a postpartum experience where you feel held and supported.
Coming from a lineage of women who cared for and supported generations, she seeks to continue and transform this legacy in reciprocal, consensual, and sustainable ways. Taylor's beliefs and values are informed by their degree in Critical Race and Ethnic Studies, Legal Studies, and Education from UC Santa Cruz, her ancestors, experiences as a mixed person of color, as a sister, a learner, and community member. Throughout their childhood and beyond, she has always been fascinated with pregnancy, childbirth, and infants.
All of Taylor's interests have led her to connecting with and working with families in varying roles for the past 10 years through childcare, birth, and postpartum support. In 2024, she worked as a full spectrum doula within a grant funded program in New York City to provide free ongoing full spectrum doula support to people who were pregnant or postpartum and facing housing insecurity or had a history of incarceration. They also offered our services to birthing people who were incarcerated at Rikers Island Correctional Facility twice a week. In her time as a full spectrum doula and childcare provider, she has connected with families from a wide array of backgrounds. Through their full spectrum doula and meditation offerings, she expands upon her interests in the body (through somatics), health, and wellness offering holistic support infused with quality care. Seeing the ways in which support and care can transform birthing and parenting outcomes drives her to return to this work again and again.
