Sherraine is a Brooklyn-born doula and social worker dedicated to helping families feel confident, supported, and cared-for from pregnancy through postpartum. With a masters in social work and years of specialized doula training, she combines deep knowledge with a calm, empowering presence. Her style is relaxed warm guidance and a little coach-like if needed. Her goal is to prepare clients to meet the unknowns of birth with knowledge and flexibility, and ensure that the postpartum experience is nurturing and restorative. Her own journey as a parent revealed how much of the postpartum period remains a mystery, and how powerful support can be in ensuring it’s not only survivable but joyful. She loves witnessing parents grow into their roles with confidence and families find moments of delight together. Beyond individual client care, Sherraine is committed to equity and access. She believes everyone deserves doula support and offers sliding scale services when possible to expand access to care for families who might otherwise be excluded. For her, doula care is not just luxury, it is community restored, a cashmere-soft hug during one of life’s most profound transitions.

What families are saying

Sherraine was a literal guardian angel during our birth. Sherraine explained things every step of the way so that we could make the choices that were aligned with the birth we wanted. She helped slow things down when we needed a moment to think and she advocated for us fiercely throughout our long 26 hours of labor. She kept us laughing and reminding us to care for ourselves. However, the most important moment was immediately after our daughter was born, and I had a medical emergency, Sherraine was right by my side holding my hand during one of the scariest moments of my life. Her reassuring voice in the chaos of that moment is one I will never forget. We talk regularly about how we could not have imagined our birthing experience without her. - Sam
Sherraine was always so kind and attentive to both me and my partner throughout my pregnancy and postpartum journey. During labor and delivery, she guided and cared for me in a way that was so fluid that it felt like she wasn’t there, but it was super helpful and appreciated. She was also able to catch post birth that my newborn was jaundiced and needed medical attention. - Lisa
Christine was a calming voice in the birthing room, and an advocate for me when things got hard. Postpartum she has continued to be a support person as questions have arisen.
