Natalia and her family have been migrating for the past few generations. Starting in the south of Spain, to the north, to Australia, then her journey took her back to Spain and finally to NYC. Her own high risk pregnancies, very different labor experiences and time spent at hospitals as a patient have emphasized the need for education and support during this significant phase in a family’s trajectory. Supporting families creating and fostering realistic and sustainable goals, building solid community and chosen family. Drawing from her own life experiences and those within the medical establishment here, to provide trauma informed care. Natalia started her doula training at Carriage House Birth for birth and postpartum as well as many of their case studies, and has since expanded her knowledge base in different courses to better support birthing people and their families. Other courses include Lactation Basics and Understanding Fetal Monitoring, Making Birthwork Queer & Trans Inclusive at Manhattan birth, Comfort Touch for doulas by Yiska Obadia, Fourth Trimester Food by Fourth Trimester, Hypnobirthing Doula training. Birth photography and advanced videography by Birth Becomes You. She maintains a current First aid and CPR certificate. Previously to having her own family, she was a financial lines insurance underwriter and a student of Fine Arts.

What families are saying

I am writing in enthusiastic recommendation of Natalia Gonzalez as a birth and postpartum doula. Natalia brings a supportive, playful, and encouraging energy to her clients’ birth journey. She is affirming of each family’s individual differences, needs, values, and configurations and offers nonjudgmental knowledge and care…They say it takes a village, and Natalia was a crucial support in our transition to a family of three. -C.M. Psy.D, M.S.Ed.
I felt more than taken care of, very supported throughout all the birth process, pre and post, Thanks Nata for making a difficult experience amazing. -P.G.
Christine was a calming voice in the birthing room, and an advocate for me when things got hard. Postpartum she has continued to be a support person as questions have arisen.
