Certified Postpartum Doula, Lactation Counselor, Prenatal/ Postnatal Yoga Instructor
Lornnie is a mother, certified postpartum doula, lactation counselor, and yoga instructor. Born in NYC and raised between Brooklyn and Honolulu, surrounded by nature, she was fascinated with plants and studied ways they are used in natural medicine in indigenous cultures. Her family used traditional Chinese medicine recipes for healing various ailments growing up.
She dove further into holistic wellness when she lived in an ashram in India where she learned ayurvedic principles and became a certified yoga instructor. It became clear to Lornnie that one can heal by connecting the mind and body with nature.
In keeping with the tradition of ayurveda, she offers personalized care unique to individual's needs. Her compassionate guidance includes emotional & physical support, belly binding, newborn care & feeding, postpartum healing & nutrition/ meal preparation. She honors food as medicine and creates nourishing meals that incorporate healing herbs to nurture the body into a balanced state of well-being.
Lornnie truly understood the challenges in postpartum after she gave birth to her son in 2015. She became empowered to support families through the sacred and transformative journey into parenthood. She trained with Birthing Advocacy Doula Training (BADT) and Healthy Children Project as a lactation counselor. It brings her joy to care for & offer guidance to new parents and provide resources in areas where they feel uninformed.
