Herbalist, Postpartum Doula
Jennifer Molina (she/they) is a first-generation Queer, Dominican, born and raised in NYC. She is the founder of United in Birth LLC, a doula collective focused on supporting marginalized communities (LGBTQIA+, Black, Indigenous, Latine, etc.) in New York City. As a doula and a herbalist, they use ancient healing technologies, such as plant remedies and breathwork to support her clients through their transitions into joyful and healthy parenthood.
Their interest in doula work began as a Peace Corps in Guatemala where they spent time learning from indigenous midwives, facilitating workshops and developing health education curriculums with local clinical staff. Upon returning to the states, she coordinated federal relief efforts after natural disasters like Hurricane Maria, Hurricane Beryl, Hurricane Fiona and more in New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. With over a decade of experience in supporting folks through stressful situations, their doula work is rooted in redefining what birth and postpartum can be for families and helping them build strong, lasting support systems. Jen has been blessed to have many teachers including Empress Karen Rose of Sacred Vibes Apothecary, Chanel Porchia of Ancient Song, king yaa of Birthing Beyond the Binary, The Brujas of Brooklyn and more. When they are not doula-ing, Jen enjoys spending time with her kitty, Pablo, long walks in the woods with Charlie, their dog, and defending second base in her Queer softball league.
