With a background in Women’s Studies, Black Studies, and Healthcare, she brings both knowledge and heart to her work, centering the needs of families of color. Her approach weaves evidence-based care with ancestral and intuitive practices, creating a grounded yet sacred experience for her clients. Jaz is a birth and postpartum doula who supports families with a calm, grounded presence and a deep commitment to holistic care. Her background spans over a decade in caregiving and healthcare, including work as a medical assistant and in residential support for adults with intellectual disabilities. She also holds a bachelor’s degree focused on Women’s studies, Black studies, and Healthcare, which informs her dedication to addressing inequities in maternal health and uplifting families of color.
Her philosophy centers on the belief that birth and postpartum are transformative seasons that deserve thoughtful preparation, compassionate care, and trustworthy guidance. She provides evidence-based information, hands-on support, and an affirming presence to help families navigate labor, recovery, and the early days of parenting with confidence. From prenatal visits to continuous labor support and ongoing postpartum care, Jaz partners with her clients to build trust and tailor each experience to their unique needs and values.
With aspirations to become a nurse midwife, Jaz is committed to lifelong learning and expanding her impact in reproductive health.
