Jarlim Cherubin

Jarlim was born on the beautiful island of St. Lucia and has been a native of New York for the last 20 years. When she is not supporting families, she teaches Yoga Sculpt at Core Power or explores Brooklyn on her bicycle in search of the nearest ice cream parlor. She is a warm-hearted doula dedicated to supporting families through the transformative experiences of pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. She completed her doula training through Carriage House Birth in 2023. She is also certified in babywearing through Adriane Star’s program. Since completing her certificate, she has supported families throughout the 5 Boroughs. Additionally, she worked with the Arch Program, providing birth support to low-income families in Queens, New York. Her expertise is tailored to each family, providing a unique, loving experience whether they are planning a natural birth, medicated birth, or cesarean section. Her gentle approach stems from pouring the love that she gives herself into others. By holding space for her clients, she provides them with the data to make informed choices that create a nurturing environment as they prepare for the big day. She views herself and the guide advocating for her client’s wishes as she maintains the flexibility of adapting to the evolving needs of labor. When she is on call, she ensures that each family knows that she is there to support and help put their minds at ease, regardless of the time of day. She enters every birthing room with a grounded mind and her heart forward so she can be the best support to her clients.
