As a doula, Hannah's trust in the womb's ability to gestate, labor, and birth - anchors the entire birth team. Together, Hannah will work with you to establish goals centric to not just your birth but also for how you want to experience postpartum. Her ability to play out different scenarios and see the "long game" will make you feel well-informed and confident. She believes that childbirth education, deep trust in self and baby, and hiring a provider with experience in your birth preferences are foundational to a fabulous journey into parenthood! As your doula, Hannah will deepen and enable each of these foundational pillars, guide you to ask specific questions, remind you of your authority and power, helping you process the changes! In past lives, Hannah studied Urban Planning at The Ohio State University before joining the venture capital world, working on both sides of the machine, idea validation for funding, and spec development for software products. A long stint with a healthcare startup, developing technology to solve the manual tediousness of Prior Authorizations, was a big tipping point into the maternal medical world. Did you know your HSA fund can be applied to your birth doula?! Hannah now lives in Brooklyn, is very invested in the experience and nourishment of mothers, has a prized membership to the Brooklyn Botanical Garden, and spends most of the summer at various beaches on Long Island. When back in Ohio, she rides her horses, Grant & Uno, and jumps back in with her improv team for a show or two. Hannah is a Certified Birth Arts International Doula, Empire Lactation Counselor, and a HypnoBirthing Educator with HypnoBirthing® - The Mongan Method. Hannah has experience with home birth, high-risk, induction, VBAC, and multiples. She supports all family styles, most birth environments (there are a couple of providers & hospitals in NYC she will not work with if low intervention is your birth goal), and support preferences (water, massage, acupressure etc.).

What families are saying

I had an outstanding experience working with Hannah both before and after my birth. Thanks to the comprehensive education and tools Hannah provided, I felt prepared and confident going into my birth. Her presence at the hospital was incredibly reassuring, and she played a crucial role in helping me achieve a successful first latch with my baby. I genuinely believe that every expecting parent should have access to the exceptional support that Hannah offers. -A.K.
We had the opportunity to meet and interact with Hannah in-person at their park meet-ups and the prep sessions really helped us to physically and mentally prepare for labor and postpartum care. They answered every one of our questions (so many!) promptly when we reached out outside of our scheduled sessions. We both would absolutely recommend Hannah and use her again in the future. -Tali
Christine was a calming voice in the birthing room, and an advocate for me when things got hard. Postpartum she has continued to be a support person as questions have arisen.
