Hannah believes that birth (and life!) is a ceremony, and like in all ceremony, we deserve to be witnessed, supported, and empowered. As a doula, her goal is to help birthing people tap into traditional + intuitive wisdom and understand the modern landscape of birth, no matter their birthing preferences, so that they feel prepared, connected, and safe throughout the childbirth continuum. As your doula, she is in your corner for the whole spectrum of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum: listening to your hopes, plans, questions and concerns; equipping you with information so you’re prepared to give birth on your terms; and offering you undivided support in the transformative event of labor and directly postpartum. In this way, doula care helps close the wide gap in maternal health care and drastically improve health outcomes for birthing people. She sees doula work as a form of companionship, and her ultimate goal is to co-create an experience where you feel seen and supported for all that you are. She likes to tell her clients that there is no way to offend her, and she will always be happy to hear you express your needs more clearly. Her approach is open-hearted, non-judgmental, and down-to-earth. Her work is an expression of her deep appreciation and reverence for all life. She believes that every individual has a unique understanding of their own body, and she wholeheartedly trusts in the wisdom it holds. She believes birth is for all people, all bodies, all families, and is committed to supporting folks from all walks of life. She serves families in English and Spanish.

What families are saying

There are no words to accurately describe the special attention and care we got from Hannah. From the moment we signed on with her until our last postpartum visit, Hannah has been there for us physically, mentally, and emotionally. Her resources and research were abundant and very informative, and no question was too big or too small to answer 24/7. When it came time for labor, Hannah came to us before she was “supposed” to, knowing I needed her support earlier than expected, and then stayed with us 36+ hours until the baby was born . I can’t recommend Hannah enough! You’ll be in the best hands! -Anonymous
When we started our pregnancy journey, we were not really sure about what a doula did or what role they played. When our midwife suggested that we secure one as soon as possible, us tending to be naturally informed consumers, we began to search. After doing research we began interviews. Though others were lovely, from the moment we jumped on a call with Hannah it was clear what a doula does. Your doula is your advocate and Hannah was our advocate from that day forward. She is a loyal champion for women's sovereignty in their pregnancies and their babies' births. She has done the work and continues to improve her knowledge on a daily basis. She has traveled to great lengths around the world to train with other incredible women in birth work. We had a home birth, and even under the circumstances that were mostly in our control, we cannot fathom having done it without Hannah. Had we been in a hospital setting, either by choice or by emergency, she would have been that much more important. She watched out for us, slowed the process down, and did it all with a sagely wisdom that she has crafted with experience from a long list of incredible women. There's no better combination of life experience and temperament and we can't say enough positive things about her. Hannah is kind, she is loving, and we are glad to say she is our friend. -Anonymous
Christine was a calming voice in the birthing room, and an advocate for me when things got hard. Postpartum she has continued to be a support person as questions have arisen.
