Gaby Gonzalez works as a birth & postpartum doula and integrative lactation specialist with over a decade of experience in maternal care, supporting families across all walks of life with warmth, calm, and cultural sensitivity. Originally from Venezuela and now based in New York City, Gaby’s path has been shaped by a blend of traditional postpartum wisdom and modern, evidence-based training. She is certified through DONA International, among multiple other certifications, and by traditional midwives, and she is also trained in infant massage, prenatal yoga, and lactation education, all of which inform her deeply intuitive and hands-on approach. Currently finishing a postpartum chef training. At the heart of Gaby’s work is the belief that postpartum is not simply a recovery period, but a sacred transformation, a rite of passage into parenthood. Her philosophy is rooted in attunement: creating spaces where mothers and parents feel emotionally held, physically supported, and truly seen. Gaby shows up with care that’s personalized, flexible, and grounded in listening, whether it means troubleshooting feeding challenges, listening and supporting you through postpartum challenges, preparing nourishing snacks, or simply offering a steady presence during a tearful moment. Fluent in both Spanish and English, she proudly serves a diverse community and welcomes each family’s unique rhythm, values, and needs. Clients have described her presence as "sensitive," "anchoring," “calming” and “the kind of support you didn’t know you needed, but will never forget.”

What families are saying

Working with Gaby feels like having a good friend come over who genuinely cares for you and your baby and is very knowledgeable. Her peaceful rhythm, honest love for babies, and commitment to mom/baby well-being are some of her strengths. Her professionalism, creativity, and gentle touch in everything she does made me feel like I was in the presence of a present and dedicated doula. She also gave me the space and protagonist I wanted as a mom. -Angelica

Christine was a calming voice in the birthing room, and an advocate for me when things got hard. Postpartum she has continued to be a support person as questions have arisen.
