Birth Doula, Placenta Encapsulator, Postpartum Doula
Brittney is a DONA trained and Pro Doula certified birth doula and Women’s Choice Perinatal Services certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist.
A wife, mother, and dance instructor, her journey to becoming a doula began with her own pregnancy in 2019. Through having a difficult pregnancy and depending on family and friends for encouragement, a passion for birth work grew.
In 2009, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Dance Performance from Oakland University and a Master’s degree in Dance Education from New York University in 2017. In her coursework for both degrees, the study of human anatomy was imperative. Brittney believes that labor positions are to labor what choreography is to dance; allowing your body to push through discomfort and rhythmically guide baby through the birth canal.

As your placenta encapsulator, her goal is to help you with postpartum healing. Recovering from birth and taking care of a newborn can take a tole on you mentally and physically. She believes our placentas were made for taking care of baby until earth side and helping us to recover after. Consuming your placenta has so many benefits!
