Ali’s journey into work as a postpartum doula began with her own experience. Though she was surrounded by a loving partner and support system, she found the early days of postpartum to be overwhelming. Longing for the village that no longer exists, she wanted someone to show her the way and to guide her in learning how to trust herself in this new way of life. After some time, she felt a strong desire to help other parents through this incredible but often challenging experience. Her support starts through listening and observing to understand your goals and needs. As you work together, she will share tips and resources through education, offer healing through physical and emotional support for the birthing parent and baby, household assistance, sleep and feeding support, and help you remember to keep things light, amidst the most challenging moments. Ali lives in Brooklyn with her partner, daughter, and sweet fur boy, Max. When she’s not working, you can find her outside enjoying the sun somewhere, attending science lectures, or catching up with her reality TV friends. She received her Postpartum Doula training through Cornerstone Birthwork and her Yoga Teacher training through Sky Ting Yoga. In addition, she has a B.S. degree from Florida State University and a certification in Photojournalism from the International Center of Photography. Her offerings include daytime postpartum care, private yoga sessions, and prenatal and postpartum photography.

What families are saying

“Ali was our postpartum doula after the birth of our first child. She was incredible -- a calm, nurturing, and thoughtful presence in our home. She helped me with my recovery, teaching me stretches (she's also a yoga guru!) and supporting me with self-care. She also helped around our house, was a wonderful sounding board on topics like breastfeeding and newborn behavior, and helped my husband and I get some desperately needed rest. Our son absolutely loved her and was so relaxed in her presence. To top it off, she is also a professional photographer and took beautiful newborn film photos of our family that we will cherish forever. We are so grateful to have worked with Ali and highly recommend her.” - Emily
We worked with Ali as our postpartum doula for over two months, starting when our baby was around 3 months old. Ali is great with babies and I trusted her to handle our baby when he was crying and fussing. But her real strength is her passion for supporting moms and helping them feel less alone and more supported during such a vulnerable time. She was great at helping me cut through all the conflicting messages I was hearing related to caring for a baby and normalizing the things that I found difficult. Even though she helped us at a time that was really tough for me, I feel so positive looking back on our time with her. I would highly recommend working with her! - Lindsay
Christine was a calming voice in the birthing room, and an advocate for me when things got hard. Postpartum she has continued to be a support person as questions have arisen.
