Ali found her way into birth work after supporting her long-distance best friend through birth and postpartum via text messages and FaceTime calls, wishing she could provide more hands-on care. Ali realized that although she could not be physically present with her friend, she could be the support and a part of the village for families in her own community who need that same care, compassion, and guidance as they navigate birth and the postpartum period. Ali believes that autonomy and informed consent are the cornerstone of an empowered birthing experience. Whether it be a home birth or a hospital birth, medicated or unmedicated, every birthing person deserves dignity, respect, and the ability to make decisions for themselves that honor their desires for their birthing experience. With over 20 years of experience in the childcare field, Ali knows that every family looks different, and that every family has different needs when it comes to birth, postpartum, and what true support looks like. Every day can look different with a newborn, and Ali aims to fill in the gaps for parents who need an extra set of hands, a listening ear, or someone to validate the ever-changing emotions and feelings that come up in the postpartum period. Ali is passionate about bringing compassion, joy, and gentleness to the birth and postpartum space, and believes that support for families is the community care she has been called to.

What families are saying

Ali was absolutely invaluable. It was such a chaotic period of our lives, it was useful just to have an extra pair of hands, especially since our family couldn't always be there. Ali was thoughtful, sympathetic, and understanding. Our younger toddler adores her and still asks after her. - Daniel D.
Christine was a calming voice in the birthing room, and an advocate for me when things got hard. Postpartum she has continued to be a support person as questions have arisen.
