VICKIE, BIRTH DOULA
My name is Vickie and I am a DONA-trained Birth Doula. My role is to encourage, support and empower families as they navigate the transitions from pregnancy, through labor and birth and into parenthood.
I believe there is no greater work than supporting families during this precious and delicate time. I am a warm and caring individual who believes evidence-based education and non-judgmental listening and guidance is critical to empower and build confidence in families. It truly does take a village and I would be honored to be part of yours.
I was born and raised in Brooklyn and received my B.A in Economics from Williams College. I also hold a M.S. in Teaching from Pace University. Prior to entering the birth world, I was a teacher and school administrator for a decade. I reside in the Midwood neighborhood of Brooklyn with my husband, daughter and dog.
