She strongly believes that there is not a right or wrong way to be pregnant, to birth or to be a parent. She cares that you feel informed and empowered during this process/journey. She believes that birthing people’s bodies instinctively know how to birth and her goals are to help keep her clients as calm and centered as possible during their labor and birth and to believe in themselves and their bodies!

She is a native Brooklynite, Latina, and former educator/administrator. She received my B.A in Economics from Williams College and her M.S. in Teaching from Pace University. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and 2 kids.

 What Others Are Saying

Vickie has been an incredible presence in my family's life. She is one of the most nurturing, loving and supportive women I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. From our consultation to the postpartum visits, every time I saw her, she radiated such positivity and love which made me feel deeply cared for.

During my pregnancy Vickie empathetically supported my family by consistently providing a space for us to vocalize our concerns and hopes. She asked open-ended questions to elicit thoughtful responses, provided resources proactively depending on how far along I was as well as reactively when I voiced confusion, and always presented us with the full array of options without pushing any one as "the right choice". This skill she has, of sharing options without pushing you towards one or the other, is honestly what I appreciated the most about her. It gave me confidence in the fact that I was making MY OWN decision once I was well-informed.

Vickie was at my birth and from the moment my water broke I felt so secure knowing I had her support. While my birth was hard, it was not traumatic and I credit Vickie for that. I got to have the birth I wanted, on my terms, with care providers I trusted and with a doula who had my back (literally and figuratively, she dropped her overnight bag and started doing hip squeezes the second she walked into triage) all because Vickie empowered me to make and follow a birth plan I was comfortable with.
