Yael, RN,  IBCLC, Certified Advanced Holistic Doula, Birth Assistant, Lactation Consultant & Childbirth Educator

Yael's love for pregnancy, birth, babies and families has been a part of her for as long as she can remember. In fact, it was a dream of owning a pregnant barbie doll that started it all! Growing up in Oregon to Argentinian parents, she was led to believe that pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding were all normal parts of being a human. She was confused by the more hushed attitudes regarding these things upon her move to the Northeast as a teen, and resolved to go to nursing school in order to work in reproductive health care, promoting the normalcy and power of birth and parenthood.

After 5 years working as Postpartum RN and IBCLC at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell, Yael stepped away to devote herself to her own business as a birth doula and private lactation consultant. As a doula, home birth assistant, and lactation consultant, she is best able to use her clinical RN knowledge without any time limit to provide continuous, uninterrupted support to birthing people and families in labor.

When she met fellow doula, Elizabeth Pérez, at a party, it was love and partnership at first sight. Yael loved Elizabeth's jumpsuit, Elizabeth loved Yael's attitude, and drinks led to dreaming up a partnership that has revolutionized their experience of providing doula support. Yael and Elizabeth lead their partnership with their friendship and thrive off of the sense of community they are able to foster for their clients and families.
