Rachel M, Birth Doula
Rachel is a DONA-International trained birth doula. She has always been fascinated by the human body and motivated to serve and empower women worldwide. She studied Biology at Baruch College, is currently completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology while also pursuing her IBCLC training, and worked as a Women’s Rights Activist through her work with the Somaly Mam Foundation. As a doula, Rachel hopes to provide women with support and resources to create an educated platform to birth in a comfortable, intimate, and empowering environment while prioritizing the safety and health of mother and child. She has attended births in NYC and LA and is truly honored to be a part of what she considers one of the most special experiences life has to offer!
Rachel had the pleasure of growing up on a farm in North Dakota before moving to New York City after high school. While working in the fashion industry over the last decade, Rachel also spent time as a nanny and has experience with children of all ages. She has a passion for creating warm and welcoming home environments for families to relax and bond within. She also enjoys painting, cooking, and living an active lifestyle and encourages women before, during, and after birth to pursue activities that make them feel alive and well!
She looks forward to meeting you and sharing in your most special journey!
