Childbirth Education {Weekend Intensive}

Dates: Sat November 12:  10am-2:30pm and Sunday November 20: 1pm - 5pm

Rooted firmly in the belief that childbirth is a normal, physiological experience, this two part series will prepare the pregnant mom and her partner for labor, birth and the immediate postpartum. Leigh Kader, Certified Childbirth Educator, Birth Doula and a Brooklyn mother of two, brings into the classroom her experience as a birth doula supporting women in a variety of settings.

Class is open to couples planning birth at hospital, home or birthing center, and we will cover the following topics:

  • the physiology of late pregnancy
  • signs + stages of labor
  • pain coping strategies
  • labor support and massage
  • routine monitoring
  • the risks and benefits of common medical interventions
  • pain medications
  • the immediate postpartum period

Fee: $325

Congratulations on the birth of your newborn. You’ve come a long way, baby. It’s been a journey through pregnancy, birth, those tender first weeks home with your baby, and now the impending return to work.

You may be wondering, “How am I going to do it? How am I possibly going to leave my baby and go back to work?” We hear you. So many mothers, just like you, are returning back to work between 6-12 weeks after the birth, some even sooner, some later.

For either financial or preference reasons- the reality is the same. Leaving your baby at home or daycare and returning to a place that was oh so familiar before maternity leave can feel very daunting.

We’re here to help. Our 2 hour in person workshop will cover all the topics you need to know for a successful and confident transition back to work.

Wondering how you and your spouse/partner will parent together? Are you nervous about pumping and maintaining your milk supply? Do you have seriously NO CLUE what to wear when you go back to work? Feeling the need to figure out how you’re going to get it all done? Are you afraid you’ll never SLEEP again?

If you’ve answered yes to any of the questions above, don’t worry-we’ve got your back. We’ve coached hundreds of women through pregnancy, birth, early motherhood and back to work again. Through our market research, personal experiences, and tried and true Back-to-Work coaching program, we've helped mothers gain the knowledge and resources they need to make a smooth return back to the office after maternity leave.

We can help you too.

Our program focuses on 5 key topics:

·      Partnering with your partner (or creating your village for single moms)

·      Pumping!

·      Time Management

·      Choosing Childcare

·      What to Wear

·      And much, much more.

Participants will leave with a custom informational packet, goodie bag, and a community of working moms.
