ELIZABETH, CERTIFIED BIRTH & POSTPARTUM DOULA, CHILDBIRTH EDUCATOR, LACTATION COUNSELOR & BABY WEARING INSTRUCTOR
Curious about the ways in which we give birth to ideas, dreams and babies, Elizabeth became a DONA-Certified Birth Doula and Postpartum Doula. She is also a Childbirth Educator, Lactation Counselor and Babywearing Instructor.
Elizabeth’s primary focus and approach in supporting new parents is simple: create a space where they can birth themselves. By providing hands-on comfort measures and being a calm and informative presence in oftentimes chaotic environments, new parents are supported, held, and accompanied during one of the most transformative moments of their lives. Once baby arrives, the support continues with troubleshooting and special care for the new parents and child.
Elizabeth believes feeling supported, listened to and prepared for the changes to come is paramount for new and expanding families. Offering evidence-based information, local resources, and a gentle touch comes easy to her--she loves being new parents go-to person. As a native New York City resident and Spanish speaker, Elizabeth takes pride in her ability to be flexible in any situation.
Elizabeth is obtained her BA in Sociology from Pomona College and currently lives in Brooklyn with her partner and son.
