Courtney, Birth & Postpartum Doula, CLC

Courtney is a Birth and Postpartum Doula and Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), proud to serve expectant parents in their parenthood journeys. She is deeply passionate about every person’s right to be supported and listened to throughout pregnancy and birth, and aims to help her clients feel confident and empowered.

She wholeheartedly believes that the body intuitively knows how to give birth, but that self-education and knowledge are invaluable tools to help parents-to-be feel informed and prepared. Courtney strives to create space to help expectant parents to make educated decisions about their own care and to feel comfortable and positive at all times about the unique decisions that are best for their families.

After a 9-5 career in media and advertising, Courtney came to doula work after the transformative experience of her son’s birth, which only strengthened her desire to create space for expectant parents to feel comfortable, informed, and joyful during this life-changing milestone.

Courtney is specially trained in massage and comforting touch for labor, comforting touch for newborns, the Bradley Method, and more. She is also a state-certified support advocate for survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence, complementing her doula practice with over ten years of experience providing support and advocacy for clients in a hospital setting.

Courtney lives in Carroll Gardens with her husband and is the proud mama of a spirited, goofy toddler.
