AMY, EdD, RN, CERTIFIED BIRTH & POSTPARTUM DOULA AND MIDWIFERY STUDENT
Amy is a health educator and advocate with a passion for reproductive justice, especially among historically marginalized communities. As a full-spectrum doula, childbirth educator, lactation counselor, and aspiring midwife, she is dedicated to collaboratively creating safe, inclusive and empowering birthing spaces for new families of all backgrounds, sexual orientations and gender identities.
Amy believes that every individual deserves access to non-judgmental, culturally meaningful information and care throughout the childbearing year. She support clients in making informed decisions toward achieving a pregnancy, birth and postpartum experience that feels comfortable for their own unique needs. Amy is available to attend births in both home and hospital settings, and in all boroughs of New York.
Amy is also a Registered Nurse, and holds a doctorate in Health Education from Columbia University. Amy is currently pursuing her Nurse Midwifery training at Columbia University as well. She is committed to ongoing training on holistic health and wellness, and enjoys practicing yoga, creative writing, and hiking.
